A Walk On The Amos Estate

Phillip and Jocelyn’s House
Features A Stone Clad-Chimney
The maximum temperature in Manhattan today will be 3°. Damla will be experiencing a high of -13° in Calgary. Nearer to home Phillip will have to wear his leathers on that motor cycle for it’s 9° in London, which is a lots better than Calgary. Does Damla really go there for pleasure? She must be bonkers? My long suffering sister-in-law Sue will be wrapped in a parka in Lymington, it’s 7° there, which is about the same as my friends in dear ol’ Blandford Forum must endure.
But here in Amos, Turunc, Nr. Marmaris its a rattling warm 19° and so I said to myself, ” to Hell with building my new web site in XSite Pro instead I’ll go for a walk.”
The top picture is Phillip’s House, newly painted and with a splendid stone-clad chimney.

Oh Dear!
The second house belongs to Damla’s neighbour. What’s happened to it you ask? The answer is that a combination of subsidence, and minor earth tremors caused a four inch crack to appear in it. And that’s just too big to be managed with silicone, or even Polly Filler, so it has been reduced almost to dust, and will be rebuilt from the foundations.

An Alternative Residence
For Peter and Pat
The bottom house is closer to home. It belongs to our near neighbours Peter and Pat. This winter it is being restored. Already it has a fine new roof and an enlarged patio. No workers turned up today though.
