It’s been some time since I’d seen any Turkish TV but now that I seem to spend more time in ‘The Habit Bar‘, I’ve been catching up.

Here is a superb Turkish commercial for American Siding. It’s typical Turkish humour, and it works particularly well here in Turkey where the tension between the crisp ‘professional classes’, and those with ‘village accents’ is as acute as was the case in England during the 1950s.

In this advertisement the announcer attempts to inform us about the merits of American Siding. Unfortunately he is ‘haunted’ by a man who seems to be a Turkish Jonathan Routh, or Jeremy Beadle. Enjoy!
