Ask Kismet?

My regular readers have wondered what has happened to their heroes here in the land of paradise? We are all fine, thank you – but a number of events coincided to render my writing here an impossibility for a few weeks.

Firstly, Pebbles was moved to a new server. Theoretically this should be good, and indeed you may well have experienced faster loading times for our pages. Unfortunately, backstage the move has required a number of ‘hacks’, which minimise the pleasure of navigating behind the scenes.

Secondly, there has been an acceleration in the amount of comment spam we receive. Just this morning we received four comments, which were advertisements for pharmaceutical products, in just half an hour. Until now I’ve searched through comments manually to allow the genuine ones through. Today, however, I installed Askismet which is a plug-in that identifies potential comment spam and effectively puts it where it needs to be, in the trash!

Thirdly, I am continuing to be engaged in working with fellow Ecademists on the world’s premier business networking community. I really enjoy this.
