Cappadocia: Meeting New Friends On The Path
One if the wonderful things about travelling to take pictures is that you meet such wonderful people.
For example during my recent visit to Cappadocia I was befriended by Görel and Roger Wallis. It was at the end of a musical evening at Ali Arbi’s place when the couple burst into the scene accompanied by the hotelier from the place next door.
Görel was incredibly spirited and provided a few unaccompanied vocal solos, as well as accompanying the local musicians.
Roger seemed a little under whelmed by the folks at Ali Arbi’s but, like the true gent that he is, did his best to hide it.
Today I discovered that the good professor is something of a hero in the battle for free expression across the Internet and as a result his home is full of flowers.
