Cappadocia ~ Uchisar

Uçhisar is the highest of the three natural rock castles in Cappadocia. Today it has become trendy, and a little expensive if you wish to stay there. It’s worth a visit though since there are several craft and leather goods shops that belong to friends and sell hand made articles made locally.

Here are two renditions from a digital negative. My aim is firstly is to show the richness and subtlety of the colours of the region whilst keeping the image cool, in keeping with the weather.

The second image aims to do the same but less dramaticallyand is my favourite of the two.
