Amos Jetty Under Repairs

Amos Jetty Under Repairs

It’s been a few weeks since I last had a moment to post here. All the action has been at TreesAndSky.me, which is not just the website for an exhibition but also for the entire ‘Trees and Sky Project’.

I was, however, drawn back here by a message from the Sally Soames, who I feature on one of my blog posts. Sally is one of the great woman photographers of the twentieth century. Perhaps known best for her gritty monochrome portraiture she is also a truly versatile news reporter.

The jetty at Amos Restaurant is now returned to full functionality. It took a couple of days of welding but now it is strong enough to survive the summer, if not the winter storms.

Amos Restaurant Receives It's First Boat Of The Season

First Visitors Of The Season

Trees and Sky launched last Friday 28th, with around 200 people in attendance, including the Mayors of Marmaris and Turunc. Irem and I are pretty beat. Taking the photos is the easy part. Feeding the media is far more demanding. The exhibition is being held at Netsel Gallery, in the marina and ends on 10th June.
