I was shooting some images of Irem for an article about her online therapy business which is due to appear in BUMED Magazine and still had the Summilux on the E-3. There was a moment when, in the half light Amazon was adjusting her hair. I raised the camera to my eye and grabbed the moment.
Jane Bown’s early images depict a relationship between people and nature, rather than being landscape images per se. Even the photograph, or rather portrait, of the Molly the cow is an image of domestic livestock.
