Ceren Soylu Relaxes With Turkish Coffee And A Cheroot
Yesterday I shared my first Nikon digital image with you. It has been about six months since I made the photograph but Emre Tavman only gave it to me last weekend when I met with him and some of his childhood friends.
Amongst these is Ceren Soylu one of the shining stars of Turkey’s hit movie Hayattan Korkma, which meand ‘Don’t Be Afraid Of life’. Ceren and I get together every six months or so, but this is the first time I’ve ever attempted to take her photograph.
I snapped it with the Fuji FinePix E-900 as a .JPEG but needed to make some minor adjustments to the background in order to create a shallower depth of field.
Hayattan Korkma is the poignant story of three men who have grown up in a small town, which is somewhat behind the times. They have never valued material wealth but when the child of one of them needs medical treatment they are forced to adapt and make money. Their one ally is hope.
