Lazy Photography (1)
Although I like to get out into the field to take pictures by far the most I make here in my own home. Here are two images of Irem that I shot a day, or so, back. I was testing my OM Zuiko 24mm lens on the EP-2. I also tested some other lenses.
OM Zuiko 24mm at F2.8
EP-2 ISO 1000
The shot above is pretty accurate. The kitchen was fairly dark. Irem was checking a recipe for my favourite vinaigrette dressing prior to giving some fresh avocados the ‘treatment’.
The image below has been re-processed in the camera using the EP-2′s ‘Grainy Black and White’ filter. It looks dramatically different, indeed it seems to tell a completely different story even though it is the same moment.
This image really destroys the concept of a ‘decisive moment’ in photography, since the whole tone of the image was changed after it was taken, which is, of course, true of all photographs.

The Image Is Now Far More Dramatic!
