Mira Our Foster Dog

Mira
For the past couple of days we’ve been acting as foster parents to Mira, who is a retriever that belongs to one of our neighbours. They were called away to Istanbul and asked us to take her until they can get back next week.
She has a wonderful disposition, but is prone to running away if let off the lead. Our neighbours thought that Mira would like to sleep and eat at their house, but she will have none of it and runs away to our place. When we take her for a walk she dashes off and is home before us.
She is a wonderful deterrent against the pigs. Unfortunately Irem tied her to the leg of our dining table on the patio. When Mira took off in pursuit of a pig, real or imaginary I know not, she projected the table into the garden from which I was forced to retrieve it in three separate pieces at 1.30 a.m. Tomorrow will be spent woodworking!

[...] Today I’ve been repairing the table that Mira destroyed using marine strength polypropylene wood glue. This was after taking her to the vet. [...]
