Not Quite Past Life Regression!

In The Glade Something Stirs!
In the past two weeks I’ve remembered a past life, and no I’m not referring to my experiments with hypnotic past life regression, but rather I have been remembering a life that excited me throughout my late teens and early twenties. I’m referring to attending music festivals.
The catalyst for this has been some correspondence with Hannah my eldest daughter. She is some kind of child genius and has qualifications oozing out of every pore ~ but her passion seems to be the British Summer Festival.
Recently she saw the Stones playing in Cardiff, and also, despite some summer sickness, struggled to the Bristol Jazz Festival. Her best moments however were at Glastonbury last year, and more recently at this years Glade.
When I groped around in the old brain-pan I remembered that I too attended a number of Summer Festivals. For example there was the Bath Festival, held on the Bath and West Show ground. It rained most of the weekend and the bands were delayed by traffic but nevertheless an amazing line up of bands were present.
Then of course, there was Windsor, when I ‘borrowed’ a tent from a defunct Girl Guide Group and got it confiscated by the Thames Valley Police when they finally broke the festival down.
Hannah has a DVD of the Stones playing in Hyde Park ~ I was there
My last festival in the UK was ‘The Green Gathering’ at Glastonbury in the early 1980s. Not strictly a music festival but a summer festival none-the-less.
And now from the shores of Asia Minor my mind remembers English beer, (before Thatcher and Blair), aromatic smokes, mud, rain, earth, wind and fire!

[...] It all started last week when I was getting up-to-date with Hannah via e-mail. Her descriptions about festivals, and the like, reconnected me to a whole world that I once knew but somehow seemed to have faded away. I hit the Internet searching for names from my past and BINGO I turned up a profile of an old acquaintance on ecademy.com. [...]

[...] My trip to London to meet Hannah has coincided with a second piece of family news. My eldest son the intrepid Ollie Bray has officially launched his domain http://www.olliebray.com. It’s extremely well made and features some little bells and whistles that I may ‘pinch’ and incorporate into Pebbles From Paradise. I am really looking forward to reading Ollie’s entries as he builds up to next years expedition when he goes exploring in Africa. [...]
