Pebbles meets the world’s smallest digital SLR

Olympus e-400

For several weeks I’ve been playing with the world’s smallest digital SLR. The results are impressive and give true photographic quality. So impressed am I with the little camera that my EOS 20D has gone to the camera shop to be sold, along with a number of prime lenses.

The kit lenses that come with the E-400 are a little slow, but are of excellent build and quality. Their small size and lightness certainly contribute to the attractiveness of using the E-400.

Unfortunately at the weekend the Olympus E-400 developed a fault, which means that it will have to go back to Olympus for repair. No matter the Fuji FinePix E-900 will no doubt be an adequate stop gap until the E-400 returns.

Here are some pictures captured with the E-400. They are, of course greatly reduced in Adobe Photoshop.

[...] Apart from the E-400 continuing to be away for repairs, (I gather that it is now back in Turkey but awaiting inwards customs clearance), we’ve all been ill. As a result I’ve been unable to do my regular bit for The Turkish Association For Child Guidance And Mental Health, (CARE-DER); a lot of acquaintances seem ‘in the dumps’; I am still saddened by the death of my childhood friend Nigel Port; and finally Irem has suffered the indignity of being insulted in front of the head gardner’s wife by Alya Gürkan the director of the Amos co-operative.
