Photography: Canon Ultra Wide On The Street

Street Photographer in Istanbul by BRAY

Spot the Canon photographer, he is on the far right of the frame

It’s always intriguing to notice what other photographers are doing when out on the street. The man to the right of this frame is using a Canon EOS 450, (a so called entry level DSLR), with a Canon EF-S 10-22 zoom lens, which is a professional lens by any standard. It is the equivalent of a 16-35mm zoom when fitted to 1.6x the APS sensor on the D450.

This enables him to carry a relatively compact outfit and still be able to make pictures of subjects as diverse as architecture, and people. The cost however if the lens’ relatively slowness F 3.5 ~ 4.5. None of the Canon range currently sports Image Stabilization.
