Photography: Getting Into The Christmas Spirit
It has been claimed that the camera never lied prior to the invention of Adobe Photoshop. What tosh!
Cameras, of course, don’t lie. But sometimes photographers manipulate the ways they work in order to create certain impressions.

Irem Bray in a festive Chrismas mood?
Take this image of Irem as an example. Outside the window the light is reflected off the bright snow. Irem is sitting wearing a warm polar necked jumper against the cold chill. Behind there is the ambiance of a log cabin bedecked with Christmas decorations. Is it not a truly festive Christmas image?
But beware. The whiteness is simply overexposure, for outside there is a dull concrete street and not a snowflake in sight. It’s true she sports a polar neck jumper even though the temperature is around 17° Centigrade. As for the Christmas ambiance, its just the normal decorations of a Turkish restaurant in Marmaris, but thrown out of focus by using a wide aperture.
Nothing to do with Santa at all
