Trees and Sky on the Amos Estate

In the old days of analogue, (film photography using chemical processes), a photographer had to think about the various ways in which s/he might interpret hir images perhaps adding filters to the lens, especially when making monochrome images.

Today it’s much simpler since most applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, have the ability to add digital filters after the shot has been taken. The image above is an out of camera jpg from my E-P2 that I modified slightly to bring out the colour slightly.

The images above were both made by adding digital filtration in the ‘Chanel Mixer’ when the image was converted to monochrome. They took seconds to make, yet are so different in affect and appearance.
