Clouds Over Kumlubük

Here are two images from yesterday’s walk. Really I suppose it’s only one image, but it rather supports the idea of Ansel Adams who asserted that a photographic negative is like a musical score, and every image is a performance.

The image above is how I visualised the picture when I took it. The image below is an interim step in the process of making the image above. Some people also find it attractive.

The digital negatives DNGs from which these pictures were made is 233 MB in size measuring just of 40 megapixels. I won’t go into the details of how I produced them except to say I used my F 2.4 Carl Zeiss Flektogon Lens at around f 8.0 on an Olympus E-3 digital camera.
