Turkey Travel: Litter Everywhere!
Looking at recent posts it may be easy to think that the Turkish countryside, and Cappadocia in particular, is an idyllic place steeped in history and rarely touching today’s western world.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
Evidence of the west may be found everywhere frequently in the form of plastic bottles.
Here we find the remains of a recent harvest. There are both plastic sacks and cola bottles in evidence, as well as a few empty cans that once contained Efes.
Sights like this are to be found too frequently in the Turkish countryside.
